Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- Fully licensed motivated automotive technician ready to take their career to new heights
- Strong automotive background
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willing to submit a background check
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
- Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini or VW experience is an asset
Service Advisor
SUMMARY
Sells and schedules needed service work in the service department while following service processes and procedures set out in the DFC Auto Group, Inc standards. Acts as a liaison between the customer, technician and service and parts manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
(Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information
- Creates a properly written repair order including all required information as well as clearly stating customer concerns
- Test drives the vehicle with customer as needed to confirm the problem or refer to the Workshop Manager
- Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service
- Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts as required.
- Establishes "promised time" with the customer.
- Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy
- Establishes customer's method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary.
- Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains any additional cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed and record onto the repair order
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted Closes repair order as appropriate and ensure repair order total matches the estimate
- Ensures vehicles keys are tagged prior to leaving the Drive Through
- Assists with keeping service department forms, maintenance menus and pricing guides up-to-date
- Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
- Supports the quality control process to eliminate comebacks
- Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
- Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
- Other duties may be assigned and will be completed at the request of the manager.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area clean.
- Must maintain monthly, quarterly & yearly brand certification.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; and three to five years direct experience and/or experience as an automotive technician. Audi/VW brand experience is an asset.
OTHER ATTRIBUTES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, salesmanship and good organization skills. Ability to adapt and change with the requirements of the customer and enjoy working with customers on a daily basis. Ability to address and resolve customer and/or employee concerns in an equitable, ethical and fair manner. Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is an asset, but not a must.

Service Appointment Coordinator
SUMMARY
Audi Uptown, Ontario's number one Audi Dealer, has an immediate opening for a full time service appointment coordinator.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The service appointment coordinator receives all incoming service calls, establishes relationships with the customers and schedules appointments for the Service Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ask the customer qualifying questions to uncover needs and directs calls appropriately
- Ensures that service consultants receive messages promptly
- Make service appointments if service consultants are unavailable, route appointment information to the appropriate service consultant
- Provide reporting to dealership management
- Collect retail charges from the customer in cash, check or authorized charge account
- Provide customers with the proper change and/or receipt
- Properly process and document charge purchases according to the policies established by the Controller
- Close all internal repair orders promptly and route to Billing Clerk for processing
- File accounting copies of repair orders and parts tickets, file hard copies of repair orders in customer service files
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to read, write, add, subtract, divide and comprehend written instructions and information
- 12 months or more previous work experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous industry experience (preferred)
- CDK experience (preferred)
- Mandarin and Cantonese fluency is an asset
